pint can. Pours a gorgeous dark copper color with a huge off-white head that has good retention. The aroma is medium in strength with pine resins and some toffee. The taste was hops forward with somewhat harsh bitter pine, followed by caramel way in the background. The palate was smooth and even with prickly carbonation. Finished long and bitter. Overall: Decent, tasty, but more like homebrew that is over-hopped with magnum.

The 14th Best Lager - Czech Pilsner / Světlý on Brewver! 16 ounce can from Tavour. Medium gold color. Puffy white head leaves excellent lacing. Crisp, malty flavor upfront has sweet, spicy undertones. Medium bodied with amazing depth and complexity for the style. Herbal hops and lemon zest on backend. Stellar. My 25th Weldwerks rating.

Sampled from the tap at Northern Taphouse Plymouth. Pours a hazy gold with a slight orange hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has mango and citrus with a decent amount of papaya and light sweet grains underlying. Flavor has tropical fruits and slightly dank citrus with grass and a touch of melon backing.

A little sweeter than expected, mouthfeel is a little syrupy. It’s fine, but I expected more.

20 June 2025. “Iets voor den Erwin” @ Dracuna. Cheers to the whole GBV crew!

Pure Nutella, toasted hazelnut, chestnut, almond, praliné, toast, coffee roast. Sweetish biscuit, brownie, very nutty, hazelnuts and chestnuts galore. Bitter earthy hops, nuts & coffee. Medium body, average carbonation. Enjoyable and actually okay that body & ABV are quite light.

500ml bottle, 2024 vintage. Rich milk chocolate aroma with notes of vanilla, roasted malt, coffee, bourbon, oak and dark fruit. Pours inky black with a thin mocha brown head that has little retention and a thing ring of lacing. Starts with milk chocolate, dark fruit, coffee and roasted malt flavors as well as having a rich, full body and slick, viscous mouthfeel. Finishes impeccably smooth with vanilla, bourbon and oak flavors. Decadent and delightful.

50cl bottle pours a thick, leggy, viscous, opaque black with some beige head. Nose has molasses and black licorice and malt, light baking spice, brownie, some booze, cake batter. Flavor is Brownie and cake batter. I wish there was more complexity. Spice is gone. Its mostly just malt and booze and sweet stufffffffff. Its full, and long, and full. But I wanted more.
