Description
A neighborhood institution and a Portland favorite for over 20 years. Find our beers distributed throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Alameda Brewhouse is a brewpub in the heart of the Beaumont Village in Northeast Portland. We have been in business for nine years, offering hand crafted ales and freshly prepared food. All of our beers are produced on location in our 5.5 BBL brewhouse under the watch of headbrewer Carston Haney. He produces a wide variety of beers, from the light, refreshing Siskiyou Golden Ale to the deep, impenetrable Black Bear Double Stout, which won the Gold Medal at the 2003 GABF and the Silver Medal in 2006 and 2008 in the foreign-style stout category. In addition, there is always at least one seasonal beer on tap to fit the mood of the season and one selection served on nitrogen.
Admin Note: Production Facility for distributed beers was located at: 4736 SE 24th Ave Portland, OR 97202

650ml bottle, 7.2 % abv, kindly shared by Manuela. Crocheted lacing from a remaining beige head. Dark brown in body appearance. Brown malty aromas, dry. Fine blended taste of caramel chocolate and nuts, woody backbone. Smooth mid-sweet malty ending. Well bodied. Pretty good. (Advent gathering with friends, Tromsø 20.12.2019).

Bottle, 22oz. A clear looking brown beer with a nice offwhite to light beige head. Some lacing. The aroma is quite delicious, with nuts, toffee, caramel, dried fruits and a touch of roasted malts and dark chocolate. A touch of piney hops too. The flavor is a bit dull though, at least compared to the aroma, with mostly toffee flavors. Roasted malts, coffee grit, some caramel and dark chocolate and a very light sweetness. Some bitterness towards the very end. Full body and a nice carbonation level. Sure, it's a fine brew, but a bit dull. 191102

Bottle at Black Christmas 2018
Black colour suspicious huge head. Indeed the roasty malt reveals some acidity. But overall it's still a drinkable beer.
