Description
A neighborhood institution and a Portland favorite for over 20 years. Find our beers distributed throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Alameda Brewhouse is a brewpub in the heart of the Beaumont Village in Northeast Portland. We have been in business for nine years, offering hand crafted ales and freshly prepared food. All of our beers are produced on location in our 5.5 BBL brewhouse under the watch of headbrewer Carston Haney. He produces a wide variety of beers, from the light, refreshing Siskiyou Golden Ale to the deep, impenetrable Black Bear Double Stout, which won the Gold Medal at the 2003 GABF and the Silver Medal in 2006 and 2008 in the foreign-style stout category. In addition, there is always at least one seasonal beer on tap to fit the mood of the season and one selection served on nitrogen.
Admin Note: Production Facility for distributed beers was located at: 4736 SE 24th Ave Portland, OR 97202

Aroma of citrus, grass, some grapefruit, fresh hops. Flavour is light sweet with a nicely long bitter finish. Not the thickest or most full bodied DIPA on the block. Nice and refreshing though.

Aroma of biscuity malt, some caramel, earthy hops. Flavour is moderate sweet with a moderate bitter finish. Not much in the way of fruits, more of an earthy malty aroma. Carbonation is rather high. Iβd say this is average at best, I like my APA a lot more fruity. Taking into account that I had an old bottle (well over a year old), I wouldnβt mind trying a fresher specimen one day.

Aroma of bready malt, caramel, ripe fruits, orange, floral notes, some pine, spicy notes, some hops. Flavour is moderate sweet with a moderate to medium bitter finish. Okay, but too malty and sweet to be a winner. I like my IPAβs fruity and hoppy. (Bottle was a bit old so Iβd like to try a fresh sample one day.)

650 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.2%. Deep reddish brown colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of roast and brown malts, brittle, caramel, burnt breadcrumbs. Flavour of brown malts, brown bread, caramel, roasted nuts, dark dried fruits, a decent hop bitterness in the finish.
