Description
BridgePort produces a variety of international style ales, including IPA. BridgePort’s ales are naturally conditioned in the bottle, keg, or cask from which they are served - they’re never force carbonated. The natural conditioning creates ale that is smooth, naturally carbonated, and full of flavor.

Today, BridgePort Brewing Company is one of the top specialty brewers in the state of Oregon. As BridgePort Brewing grew in popularity, it also grew in its brewing capacity from its 600-barrel beginnings to over 100,000 barrels per year. Distribution has grown from Portland to 18 states, and the brewery’s emphasis on producing quality, innovative ales has provided it with an international following and numerous awards.

Bottle from Boise Co-op. Pours out a deep golden with violet hues, topped with a huge fluffy head. Alhough not strong, the wine notes are the predominant aroma. Grapes, sweet taste, fruity, yeasty tang. More wine notes than IPA.

sweet nose with excellent peach, lemon and green gummy bear. Overly carbonated for the style but fairly juicy with lots of white grapefruit and gummy bear. Dry juicy finish. Nice

Bottle from the Boise Co-op. I in added this as an Oktoberfest beer. Label says it is a hopped märzen and they claim it's an IPA, but at its heart this is a tried-and-true märzen. Nice amber color, small fluffy head, clumpy Lacey. Nice malty Aroma and taste, with a little bit of hop bitterness at the end. Interesting combo, it works well.

Bottle sent by Bridgeport for review, back in 2014. Opened on Sept 24, 2018. Yes, I should have reviewed this while it was actually available. But this just seemed to be something that could be cellared. And it was. Pours an amber color with a tinge of red. Fizzy head. The taste has really held up nicely. There's just a little bit of "hotness" from the alcohol. But after that, it's a great balance of Belgian aromatic malt, and fruit. The tart cranberries keep this from the excess sweetness of a fruit beer. There's a bit of yeast or dregs in the bottom of the bottle. Let's do the swirl to finish off… Yes, the last of the yeast makes it cloudy. Surprisingly, there's very little "dead yeast" taste to it. Just a little extra umami, and maybe some dregs of other ingredients in the bottle. If you've got some of these in your cellar, they're quite worth it.

Had a bomber of this at an Alice in Chains concert of all places. Pours a light pink color. A fruity berry nose. Slightly tart, perfume, berries, light bread. Interesting.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours darkish gold with a white head. Med body at least. Flavor is wheaty with a little fruit and some mild tropicals. It does have a creamy aspect - texture and flavor (as I recall cream ales from the distant past). Quite pleasing. The flavors are firm, but strong may be too strong. Nice.

On tap at The Beer Junction, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of resinous hops, lots of candied sugars, and some alcohol. Flavour is rather abrasive, with resinous hops, mineraly, candied sugar, and alcohol. Not integrated very well - the booze is very prominent and the hops aren't very pronounced. Okay.
