Sample at Kurtkeller 019: Choco-tastic 02 on 12/27/2014. The beer pours dark brown with ruby highlights, and a medium creamy beige head that recedes gradually. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, chocolate and coffee. Light to medium body with flavors of sweet chocolate, malt and mild coffee. The finish is sweet with a chocolatey aftertaste. As advertised, pretty good overall.

Draft. A- Roasty, coffee, hoppy. A- Brown color, hazy liquid, off white head. T- Bitter, roasty, coffee, bread, slightly malty, slightly nutty. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty finish. O- It was interesting to say the least. It wasn’t awful but sometimes I wonder about these beers that Boulder Beer brews for Old Chicago. The flavors didn’t mess right for me.
