Can. Clearish amber with a good cm of dense white head. Nice but shyish aroma of grilled kumquats and bread crust. A bit more than medium bodied; somewhat creamy with lowish carbonation. Sweet with bread, some stonefruit, mostly tenor register citrus that gradually grips towards the firmly bitter end. Pretty good but a little oppressive.

Can. Almost clear golden amber with a fading white head. Aroma of passionfruit, mandarin and pineapple. Fruity and rather sweet but moderate finishing bitterness is enough to clean it up. Not bad.

On tap at House of Brews, Surfers Paradise. Black beer with a thin lasting coffee-coloured head. Nose is umami, full of vegemite and aniseed. Good body, viscous but also slightly effervescent. Excellent sequential lacing. Not my favourite style but this is a good beer, initially bitter until a mild sweet bacon note finishes it all off. Nice one.

Can. Clear red with a large pink head.Aroma of beetroot, wheat crackers. Light bodied and very sour with the beetroot adding neither body nor much in the way of earthy sweetness. Didn't finish.
