4th beer from this brewer. The others have been pretty staid. Can. Clear reddish amber with a fat cap of off white head. Strange aroma of tropical leather restorer - sour or green mango, passionfruit, vaguely chemically. Not offensive but not appealing. Some stewed fruit, some dark sugars. Sour then bitter and a little astringent. All over the place and quite unpleasant.

It's easy to ramp up the alcohol to add more flavor. The West boys have done a great job to produce a well rounded flavoursome beer at only 4.3%

330ml can from Dan Murphy's, Fairfield, Melbourne. Poured a slighty hazy golden colour with a big frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light citrus, light floral hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a crisp, fruity, light pepper spice, dry hop bitter palate and a lingering pepper spice bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

The description is spot on - a sour DIPA. Aromas of honeycomb, pine resin, with heaps of bitter lemon in the mouth. Not an easy drinker, but well made.

A lovely aroma of pine needles, pineapple, orange, stone fruit and bread crumbs. The orange, pine needles and pineapple stand out most prominently in the mouth. It's a well-balanced beer with a load of flavour and nice complexity.

(Can) Pours cloudy amber brown with big loose off-white head. Nice aroma of tropical fruit with pine notes. Medium body with a lot of carbonation (perhaps a bit too much carbonation). Pleasant and well balanced taste. Nice toffee malt balanced with the hops, which provide some pleasant fruity notes at the start and a nice hoppy bitterness that is present from the start and builds through the palate. Very nice.

Bottle. Brown with a thin coat of beige head. Aroma of dark bread and chocolate, some modest hints of oranges, grapefruit, earth and nectarines. Medium bodied, appropriate carbonation on the low side of moderate. Tastes very much as it smells. Not all that sweet but fat malt, moderate hop accents and bitterness. A solid, drinkable and nicely balanced beer.

Bottle. Almost black with a tan head that’s soon a coat. Aroma of mild roast, earth, chicory, dark sugars. Lightish bodied, smooth texture. Fairly dry with coffee and chicory, roasted malt. Perhaps a bit more bitterness than expected at the end with earthy and spicy notes. Something slightly more cuddly would have done me better, but this does what it came to do.
