Can. Dark brown, a beige head fades to a cm. Roasted, dark chocolate and spice aroma. A little sweet than guessed with less assertive roast but decent hop bitterness at the end. Fair enough.

Can. Misted pale orange amber with a frothy 2cm white head. Aroma of grapefruit, herbal orange, pine, light breadcrust. So it tastes - loads of citrus before resin and bitterness take over. Less newfangled than it sounded but that's fine. Good beer.

Can. Pale gold with an inch of white head that never quite disappears. Aroma of under-ripe passionfruit, cantaloupe, spices, crackers. Very light bodied, making the nice hop combination pop but also making it a bit parching at the end.

Can. Cloudy red with a loose white head that doesn't last. Light bread and citrusy hops are detectable under berries and hibiscus. And assert themselves a little more in the taste - the balance is deft, like a pig in a barrel apparently. Berries give way to moderate bitterness. Much better than a joke beer.

A nice brown ale with aromas of coffee, hazelnuts and a little cream. The hazelnuts are prominent in the mouth, and it has a creamy motherly, even though it's a little thin and short.

Can. Clear amber with a white head that lasts really well. Aroma of toast, a little biscuit, oranges, tropical fruit - passionfruit, mango. (Crystal) malty but not terribly sweet with biscuity flavours meeting the mango and passionfruit before the beer dries out with orange and some resin towards the fairly bitter end. There were lots of Australian IPAs like this 5 years ago and this is has a more elegant finish than most - but I'm still not so keen on the caramel.
