330ml bottle into pint glass. Bought at Queen Victoria Markets, Melbourne. Grainy nose, a little malt apparent. Slightly hazy amber beer with thin film on top and a few bubbles. Full-bodied, oily texture, zingy on the tongue. Grainy, fruity and dry. It’s right on style flavourwise. Looks a bit lifeless though.

Can. Amber with a dense cm of white head that lasts very well. Aroma is earthy and biscuity with spices and some berries. And so it tastes. Quite sweet with loads of biscuit, some fruit. Doesn’t dry out much and bitterness takes its time to cut through, but the spices come though nicely at the end. OK.

330ml bottle from Dan Murphy’s Hurstville. Pale yellow gold colour, short-lived fizzy white foam head and aroma of apple, pear, woody, oak. Taste is mellow apple, oak, hint of pear, some hay, bittersweet. Light bodied, spritzy carbonation, lingering sweetish finish. Quite OK.

(Bottle) Clear straw with steely hint and no head. Very little aroma, slightly cardboard, very slightly floral. Pleasant palate reminiscent of a sparkling wine but a with a hint of stickiness. Taste is a nice balance of sweet and tart, with some subtle and pleasantly perfumey floral notes. It’s clearly apple, with really very subtle pear, and some subtle earthy notes that add interest. Pleasant cider.

Draught as part of a tasting paddle, at The Local Taphouse in Sydney, on October 9, 2015.Clear deep copper to brown color, teal head. Sweet, malty, light of honey, hints of smoke from tar scent. Malty, grainy, minerals, bitter taste. Dry, grainy aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium high bitterness. Some tar like smoke initially after swalowing but before the aftertaste kicks in.
