500 ml can from Total Wine. Pours an unfiltered dark amber color with a khaki head and great retention. Very good lacing too. Souring malts aroma. Thankfully no sour flavor. Tastes like dark toasted malts with light caramel notes in the finish and a hint of smoke. Smooth, clean, and slightly sweet. Good beer. Medium body. Medium-light carbonation. Not bitter. A good way to end the year.

Bottle online from Raynville Superstore. Typical Hefe aromas of bananas, some clove and peppery spice. Taste is the same again but fairly mild flavours and a bit watery. Thinnish body with a fair amount of carbonation. Refreshing enough summery beer but below average for the style.

Optisch sehr satt goldgelb und glanzfein mit viel mittelgroßer bis großer Perlage. Die weiße, feinporige Schaumkrone wirkt dabei wässerig-flaumig und hält ganz gut. Im Duft sehr typisch, getreidig-malzig, leicht floral und grasig-heuig hopfenaromatisch. Der Antrunk kommt sehr frisch, passend rezent, leicht süßlich-malzig und dezent herb, wirkt aber etwas dünn. Am Gaumen zeigt sich ein sehr ähnliches Bild. Leicht malzig süß, ein wenig getreidig, leicht würzig und zart trocken herb. Es ist alles da was ein Bier braucht, es sind keine Fehler zu erkennen, aber die ganze Sache ist nun mal sehr einfach gestrickt, aromatisch ziemlich zurückhaltend und etwas dünn. Qualitativ absolut makellos, aber zum Erlebnis wird dieses Bier nicht. Mundgefühl und Süffigkeit sind okay. Im Nachtrunk verfliegen die malzigen Noten rasch und eine sehr sehr zarte Herbe bleibt über. Mein Fazit: Als rascher und unkomplizierter Durstlöscher oder als unkompliziertes Bier auf einer Party kann man dieses Bier bedenkenlos einsetzen und kann ich mir auch gut vorstellen. Zum Tasting-Highlight wird es aber nicht taugen.

On tap at one of the Tücher places in Nürnberg in the company of Jude and Baz, we're visiting the Christmas markets here. Served in a ceramic mug so difficult to discern the colour, large creamy white head. Light caramel touches, more bitterness than expected, light fruity. Fine.
