Bottled. An amber beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of citrus hops, dusty hops, malt, and bread, leading to a bitter finish. The body is no wonder light, but nice flowers packed in to it.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of bluebetty. Pours a clear amber with a neat lacing off-white head. Fruity, dusty nose. Light body, subtle roast, caramel and a whiff of nuts. Discreet bitterness. Very pleasant and drinkable. 140212

Bottle thanks to bluebetty. 10C. Hazy pale gold with a snow-white head. Aroma of coriander, white pepper, vanilla, oranges, light dough, some wheaty dank. Quite astringent up front, with pungent spices over oranges and doughy yeast. Very dry spicy finish.

From a 330ml bottle on 12/2/2012. Pours close to black with a smallish head. The aroma is primarily chocolate and caramel. The flavour is dominated by bitter dark chocolate and roasty notes, but there’s definitely a good dose of Belgian yeast in the background. The sweetness is well balanced by the slightly sour, lingering bitterness. The body is quite thin. Yet another good brew from Murray’s, though there more impressive imperials to be had.

Pours black with a large, tan head.Nose shows roasted malt, soft booze, chocolate and soft vanilla oak characters.Lots of roasted malt as a flavours too, alongside soft booze, some sharp oak and belgian-like spicy notes. The oak and alcohol is a bit too strong for my liking.Body could be a bit thicker.

(bottle) Poured black with coffee coloured head. Aroma is intense and impressive with coffee, roastiness and smokey hints overlaid on the base of a stout. Full bodied, oily with lovely fine carbonation. The flavour is rich and intense - dark roast malt, molasses, coffee with a good long finish with with bitter notes both with hop and black coffee resemblance.

(draft at brewery) Clear, strong amber with little head. Lovely floral hop aroma. Light body, medium carbonation. The flavour is excellent, with a strong contribution from the hops of interesting floral and fruity notes, and with some restrained bitterness in the finish. A really tasty and easy drinking beer.

(on tap at brewery, but as Rudeboy Pilsner - which I suspect is a rebadging of this beer... http://www.murraysbrewingco.com.au/our_beers/our_beers_detail.php?Rudeboy-Pilsner-2) Clear straw with some white head. The aroma is subtle and pleasant - subtle sweet candy and floral hints. Light body, well carbonated. The taste is very soft for a pilsner - distinct and pleasant sweetness (candy / peardrops?). Pleasant easy drinking beer.

(draught) Very dark with decent tan head. Aroma is coffee and roasted almost smokey. Medium body, light carbonation. Flavour is pretty much regular porter. Overall a good beer for its style.
