12 oz bottle; Nose is caramel, nut, spices, and I assume wattle? Rusty red with a medium beige head; flavor is nutty (wattle?), caramel, and a tiny touch of hops. Different but decent!

330ml bottle purchased at the Fine Food Store at Kastrup Airport. Deep, red-brown body with a fawn head quickly diminishing. Spicy-malty smell. Herbal vegetables (wattle Seed?) in flavour added by lightly roasted grain, some sweetness and malty aftertones. Dusty and rounded mouthfeel. Alright (02.02.2008).

Golden-brown colour. Nutty, oily aroma with wood undertones and some molasses-accented sugars. Sweet body. Hints of earth. Oily finish has a slightly plasticy character.

Well this is different - I have no idea what wattle seed is, but it gives this beer an unusual spicy and herbal aroma. There’s some bready caramel malt and grassy hop in the background, but the fore is something of a aniseed + rye bread + nutmeg characteristic. Dark ruby color with essentially no head. Sweetish up front with a vague herbal character leading into the finish, which is characterized by a long bitter chocolate note. Berry like fruitiness circles around the middle of the palate. Medium acidity. Lightish palate feels somewhat thin and unsatisfying.

Forgive me if comments are too similar to other Oz pale ales, but god. Boring, thin and lacking bitterness.

Bottle from Ledger’s. Aroma is lightly fruity/floral over very light caramel malt. Amber tinged gold color with a respectable beige head. Medium body with creamy carbonation. The flavor is unusual. Seems to be light veg/grass/floral mix over light caramel. More like an amber ale than a "pale" lager. Finish is a bit veg and bitter. Dry too. The Brave Boys did a good job with this one.

Bottle. Pours slightly cloudy yellow with almost no head. The aroma is distinctly lemon with some of the characteristic witbier aroma. The palate is thin bodied with lively carbonation. The flavour is unusual and quite refreshing. It starts off very lemony developing some bitterness, but not a lot. To me it was a bit too sharply lemony and the flavours didn’t quite work together. However an unusual, refreshing and drinkable beer.

Bottle. Amber / brown colour with loose off-white head which didn’t stay for long. The aroma is pleasant - hops and malty caramel. The palate was fine: medium body with average carbonation. The flavour started with a malty caramel foretaste transforming to a very hoppy bitterness and leaving a lingering hint of caramel. It’s a nice beer, but it didn’t quite work for me, somehow the taste lacked something in the middle and the hoppy bitterness was a bit too unsubtle.

Pour is a red with a small white head. Aroma is decent with some caramel malts and a nice brown sugar to sweeten things up. Flavor is not great. Some caramel malts and a touch of hops with a little barnyard. Finish is very watery and bland. To thin to be a good example of the style.

Pour is a dark but clear brown with a small white head. Aroma is some nice caramel malts with some brown sugar. Flavor is very weak with some brown sugar and nuts but again its a very weak flavor. I still don’t know what wattle is so i don’t know what it brings to the beer but this is still a sub par brown ale.
