About
Ronald started working as a brewer in 1990, at brewery De Raaf. Few years later he lefts the Netherlands for Finland. He stayed in the beer business in various roles, and after a short break, he returned in 2015 to start The Flying Dutchman Nomad Brewing Company, to brew his own recipes at de Proefbrouwerij and Brouwerij Anders. He brews out of love for beer, and only works with the best and most passionate people. That’s why his beers are exceptional – full of character and flavour.

Bottle from Den Engelske Pub, ølshoppen. Pours opaque dark brown with huge brown head. Aroma is rotated malt, black currant, soy sauce and hints of salty liquorice. Taste is light to medium sweet, light to medium bitter, light salty and medium acidic. Body is oily with soft carbonation. Finish is long and mostly sour with notes of rotated malt, black currant, blackberry, soy sauce, sour yogurt, mild vinegar and salty liquorice.

Dorée, col fin blanc.
Arôme sur un bouquet frais fruité sur les agrumes, belge dans le nez, esters avec un léger houblonné en rétro - fruité et un côté citrique plutôt discret.
Palais est léger malté pils, note fine d'agrumes, effervescence haute, note citron vert et pamplemousse - retrouve ce caractère rustique belge au niveau du caractère des grains et de la levure. Côté sour pas vraiment tant marqué que cela.

Clear pale blond beer, small creamy white head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: nice, very fruity, pineapple, melon, juicy, some oranges, bitter hops. MF: lively carbon, medium to light body. Taste: soft acidity, pretty bitter touch, lots of citrus notes, grapefruit, sourish, lemony, spicy, lemon grass. Aftertaste: hoppy touch, a bit grassy, hoppy, lemony, ok but not great.

33cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours classic gold, fairly clear, with fine white foam. Aroma is very Belgian saison/wit, fruity, honey and yeasty spiced. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is moderately bitter, well balanced. Final is average.

Bottle from Den Engelske Pub, Ølshoppen. Pours opaque dark brown with medium light brown head. Aroma is intense sour raspberry and roasted malt, with chocolate, soy sauce, vinegar, sour raspberry cough drops and some leathery/earthy notes. Taste is medium to very sweet, light to medium bitter, light to medium acidic and faint salty. Body is creamy with soft carbonation. Finish is long and intense with notes of sour raspberry, ammonium chloride, liquorice hard candy squares, dark chocolate, hints of vinegar and sour berries and hints of bitter hops and spruce towards the end. Almost like drinking sour candy liquorice raspberry drops.

Bottle from Den Engelske Pub, Ølshoppen (1 month after BBE date). Pours haze amber with large white head. Aroma is slightly sour with notes of lemon, yeast, vinegar, hops, spruce and hints of oak and leather. Taste is light sweet, light to medium bitter and light acidic. Body is watery with fizzy carbonation. Finish is long and mostly bitter with notes of spruce, leather, oak, vinegar, hibiscus and yeast.
