Description
Born in Fremantle, Australia – the birthplace of Australian craft brewing – Otherside was started by a bunch of music industry mates who love good beer.

Our beers are brewed with the best ingredients and are naturally preservative-free, and come in everything from easy-going, approachable Session Ales, to weird and wonderful styles we dream up monthly.

To give back to the industry that raised us, a portion of every Otherside beer goes into a fund - Tapped by Otherside - to support musicians, artists and creatives in Western Australia.

Can from Brewcraft at home (thanks Jack). Really nice looking. Dark amber brown pour with cream off white head. Aroma is rich pine resin and deep biscuit. Red and piney. Some sweetness and slight booze. Taste is similar with big pine resin and lots of biscuit malt. Very rich and chunky, not in the palate just flavor. Palate is ever so slightly sticky on the finish. Lasting deep bitterness. Sweet and boozy too. Delicious. Highly recommend.

Can. Somewhat unclear golden amber with a 2cm white head. Aroma is floaty yet pungent with kumquat, grapefruit, some stone fruit, bread, hints of pine. Then quite peachy taste with citrus that's more mandarin than the sharper citrus suggested by the aroma. A bit of resin creeps in towards the dryish and fairly bitter finish. Straddles mannered and feisty. Should have decided. Is the fact that this is in the GABS pack and first appeared in Melbourne Dan's very recently yet was packed in January part of the story?

An inauspicious start, but this one grew on me as I drank. It definitely lacks length and guts, but it's got some nice flavours, especially pineapple, grapefruit and stone fruit. The grapefruit is especially prominent on tasting.

Can. Cloudy yellowish orange with a large white head. Strong stinky mango aroma crowds out everything else. OK if you really like mango I suppose. I would have preferred a reference to fruit additions on the front of the label not smallish print on the back. The taste is much more acceptable though - bready with banana & spices but with passionfruit and more softly spoken mango adding sweetness that's complemented and countered by a fair bit of bitterness.

Very caramelly, lots of toffee, soft fried fruits, a bit thinner than I would have expected for the ABV

This is a lovely imperial, with a caramel malt nose, not too much bitterness. Very easy
