Description
In 1903 sterft Willem Geenen, 63 jaar.

0.3 l bottle from 'Mr. Hop', best before April 2026. Hazy, orangeish golden with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, gently fruity-floral, slightly yeasty-spicy aroma of banana, vanilla, pear and some citrus. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, quite yeasty-spicy and slightly fruity-floral taste of banana, clove, vanilla, pear and some citrus, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Above medium-bodied, quite effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Tasty brew, unfortunately totally off its style. Not a pale ale by any means, not even Belgian-style. Pretty much tastes like a Weizen, although wheat is not among the ingredients, so somehow like a hoppy Dampfbier.

Bottle shared at "ZZT nieuw leven in blazen"-tasting. Brown color, red glare coming through. Smell and taste are malts, some roast, light bitterness, very dry. Hmm not my kind of beer tbh.
