Bottle. Clear deep golden liquid with medium to big white head. Aroma of white pepper, grain, spices, earth and noble hops. Taste is dry and light bitter with notes of white pepper, grain, wheat, earth and spices. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. Pretty nice but not in the best condition I think.

The color is a pale yellow gold. The liquid is quite cloudy. Medium white head. The pile of foam lasts for some time. A little bit of lacing. Nice big aroma of dusty, funky brett with some fruitiness and a fresh, spicy grain background. Bright, light fruit, mostly apricots and grapes. Mild cheesiness. Rye and pepper spice. Brett and rye on the palate. Quite dry. Pleasant grain spice and light sweetness. Moderate to medium bitterness. Big dusty brett. Mildly tart. Not really sour but there’s a light fruity tartness, green apples or under ripe stone fruit. Mouthfeel is light and refreshing. Starts a bit prickly but that gives way to a creamy fullness after it settles. Really nice brett-forward beer. I’m kinda surprised it and will have to pick up some more Monkish bottles when I get a chance.

Tap at The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours hazy yellow gold with s slight white head. Fruity/yeasty/lightly spicy aroma. Med body or nearly. Flavor is somewhat pepper with suggestions of banana ester. Possibly some citrus. Maybe even a little tart pineapple? It’s dry, but suggestions of sweet fruit keep coming up. Pretty nice.
