Tap at The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Light spicy/malty aroma. Med + body. Flavor is darkish malt, with date/fig/raisin type fruit. Seems to develop a touch of fennel. Very nice. Some yeast. Some chocolate. Keeps developing new flavor suggestions.

Tap at The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours very dark orange/amber with a 3 finger off-white Guinness head. Aroma is fruity/peppery. Med body or better. Flavor is nicely darkish malt with a little dark fruit and more pepper. Itβs not very hot, but certainly spicy. Quite nice. Finishes towards dry. Not bitter.

Tap at The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours bright gold with a large creamy white head. Aroma is earthy/floral with yeast. Med body. Seems a little wheaty? Flavor is sort of earthy/floral saison. Odd flavor notes. But it all works well together. Finishes tasty, bitter, hoppy.

Capped 750 from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours sort of copper blush with a transient white head. Aroma is malt and floral. Med body. Flavor is somewhat malty with floral going somewhat citrus. Not getting much Belgian yeast/spice/fruity ester. Itβs drinkable, but for me the malt is a bit much. Iβd never have thought this was a tripel in a blind test.

On tap at the source. Clear golden hued pour with a moderate white head. Aromas are spicy and floral with a medium malt character, somewhat hoppy, clean. Flavors are clean, soft malt up front, floral medium hoppy character with a rather strong (a bit too assertive) bitterness in the finish. Fuller carbonation, medium bodied. Tasty.

On tap at Monkish. Medium brown hued pour with a large and fluffy off-white head. Aromas are malty, clean, light esters, moderately spicy and a touch peppery. Flavors are dry, nice malty and toasty notes, medium esters. Nice peppery spicy backing that pairs well with the dry malty notes. Somewhat earthy. Fuller carbonation with a medium body.

On tap. Pours with a brilliantly clear yellow straw hue with a white head. Aromas are bready, toasty, mostly clean, lightly herbal hop aroma. Flavors are bready and lightly sweet, with a touch of citrus, and herbal sterling hops. A touch of rice. Dry finish, with a relatively low bitterness (I wish it was a touch more crisp and a touch more assertively bitter, but I not sure if that is what he was going for). Medium carbonation, soft body. Good.

On tap at the brewery. Pours with a hazed golden yellow hued body. Aromas are lightly herbal, some spicy, bready, grainy, orange peel, dried esters. Mostly a really nice and soft malt profile with enough yeast esters and phenols to keep it interesting. Still crisp. Flavors are very drinkable with a great bready malt profile, nice hop character that is mostly spice, dry, lively carbonation and clean. Extremely drinkable. Well done!
