Description
In eleven years of existence, the Ribella brewery has developed a model of farm brewery unprecedented in Corsica and still little developed in Europe - because particularly demanding -, making its own organic beers from the cultivation of cereals in Eastern Corsica (25 hectares malting barley were planted there) until bottling in Patrimonio.

Born in the heart of the prestigious AOP Patrimonio vineyard in a family of winegrowers, Ribella beers are aptly named. But far from feeling overwhelmed by this unprecedented geographical position, Pierre-François Maestracci, the founder of the brand, made it his mission to make his beers as rich and complex as the good wines that surrounded him. A successful bet, if we are to believe the excellent reputation enjoyed by Ribella beers!

A hops farm on hillsides, located near the brewery, benefits from the sea spray from Cap Corse and clay-limestone soil which characterizes Ribella hops and gives the beers a unique aromatic profile. The brewery also has a farm where malt barley and most of the spices, peppers, citrus fruits or flowers that go into the composition of beers are grown, brewed without any artificial flavor.

Cloudy amber with a yellow head, plenty of yeasts left on the bottom of the bottle. Taste is rather dry and medium bitter. The aroma is a bit vineous, spicy, grass, and not unlike mead. Medium body, short finish, pretty pleasant.
