Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Opened with a big hiss. Pours really lively, dark, cola brown. Noisy, thick, pale tan head. Nose has chocolate lime sweets. Some roast malts. Touch of coffee. Taste has some chocolate sweetness. Some dryness. Light to medium body. Way too fizzy. I can hear this in the glass, over the dog snoring. Light bitter finish.

330ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brown colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Roasty, dark malty aroma, notes of coffee, liquorice, some cocoa, yeasty marmite and ammonia overtones. Taste is bitter, roasty dark malty, notes of liquorice, salted liquorice, hints of coffee and cocoa, a touch of ashes; slightly strange, unpleasant, bitter finish with a touch of ammonia, marmite, some alcohol.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Fully opaque, deep, gingery gold colour. Film of sticky, white head. Looks the beans. Nose has mango juice. Some woody herb. Some sour lemon. Hint of peachy hop. Smells good. Taste is lightly tart, with a nicely balanced, mango sweetness. Light to medium body. Has a silkiness from the mango purée. Soft carbonation. Light tart finish. The mint isn’t particularly noticeable, but this is a refreshing and tasty, fruit loaded sour.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Hazy, orange gold. Slim and sticky, white head. Nose has sweet and spicy grain. Barley sugar sweets. Stewed citrus hop. Taste is sticky sweet, with a stewed hop bitterness. Medium, oily, clarty mouthfeel. Low carbonation. More of the stewed hop bitterness to finish. Smells and tastes old. Poor, really.

Bottle @ Højbjerg tasting 27 July. Pours cloudy very dar k brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt and phenole, with hints of yeast. Sour and bitter flavour with roasty notes. Acidic aftertaste. Well, not very enjoyable but a valuable county tick for me.
