Keg at six degrees north Edinburgh. Pours hazy yellow, nose is herbal, soft toffee, funk, banana, taste is zesty lemon, toffee, grassy, peppery.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Opens with a big hiss. Mostly clear, light amber colour. Huge, off white head, kept alive by streams of vigorous carbonation. Nose has old, squashy apple. Wet paper. Mould. Damp wood. A bit vegetal and earthy. Taste is sweet and fusty, like sucking on the aforementioned old apples. Medium body. Lively carbonation. Weirdly dry and earthy finish. Pretty bad.

330ml bottle. Cloudy orange colour with no head. Aroma of sour zesty citrus fruits and lactic acid. Taste is acidic, sour, sharp zesty lemon and lime, lactic acid, dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Bottle shared at Leighton's place 03/02/2018. A nut brown coloured pour with a halo of greyish, beige head. Aroma i s earthy pine, tangy, pine, strawberry. Powdery chocolate. Palate is semi sweet, powdery, carbonation, . Flavour is composed of tangy blackberry, nutty, brown malts, . Mellow saison yeast, Not bad.

Bottle thanks to LKS. It ours opaque black with thick, foamy tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, bit of spice, floral, parma violets, cacao, jammy berry and blueberry muffin. The taste is bitter - sweet, toasty, roasted malt, berry, tangy fruits, spice, charred wood, fragrant, herbal, bit of melon and spice with a drying and toasty finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Interesting stuff.

Bottle shared in London - picked up st Cotteridge Wines. Pours black-brown with a small, creamy tan. The nose has a bit of roast, cocoa, mild saison yeast, burnt caramel. Light to meidum sweet flavour with bittersweet cocoa, ash, dried dark berries, a touch of booze. Meidum bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly drying in the finish, a bit warming, with more bittersweet cocoa, ash, leathery berries. Nice overall.

Craft Islington. Cask - maybe! Almost clear amber beer, small cream colour head. Light palate, semi dry and with decent fine carbonation. Smooth malts, light caramel and cream. Light salty spice. Mild orange adds dimension. Light finish. Tasty enough, works reasonably well.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Clear, dark pink. Ring of pale pink head. Nose has sticking plaster, first off. Some apple. The damsons and the berry fruits are totally lost in this. Taste is dry and light sour. Light body. More of the off notes to finish. Bad.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Lightly hazy gold. Skim, and dense ring of bright, white head. Smells like a Christmas tree. Spruce. Sap. Slightly woody. Underneath, there are sweet, buttery malts. Taste is sweet and sappy. Light, pine needle bitterness. Soft mouthfeel. Bit of chew. Fine carbonation. Finish is sticky and sappy bitter. You can’t say they haven’t nailed a spruce IPA.
