31st Aug 2017. Cask, half-pint. The Station Hotel, Oakengates. Dirty amber pour, white head. Strange one this, definite salty feel to the semi-sweet caramel flavour. Aroma had malty molasses to the fore and along with the saltiness they ruled the taste too. Glad I only had a half really.

On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - dark brown. Some head. Nose - fennel and liquorice. Taste - salty liquorice. Tar, tobacco. Dirty toffee in there too. Palate - close to medium in body. Dry tangy and tight through the middle section. Clean sour finish. Overall - not sure I’d session it but it’s certainly a journey on the palate.
