Sample at the taproom. Slightly hazy orange-gold color with a medium thin white head that diminishes gradually to a dense film. Sticky strings of lacing. Citrus, hops and malt aroma. Medium body with flavors of piney hops, zesty citrus and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a resiny hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sample at the taproom. Clear pale orange color with a thin white head that burns away quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Grassy hops, citrus and malt in the nose. Light body with flavors of herbal hops, grapefruit and biscuit malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a grassy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap at the brewery. It pours a pale yellow color with a white head. The aroma has potent spicy, grassy, gooseberry and tropical notes. Nelson at it’s best. The flavor has some florals and spicy dank. Gooseberry and tropical fruit sweetness. Hints of grape. The mouth feel is light and creamy. Solid bitterness that’s pretty restrained. Awesome stuff. A great showcase for all the best qualities of Nelson without the diesel and onion.

On tap at the brewery. It pours a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma is full with cinnamon and chocolate. Lots of cinnamon. The flavor is pretty hard roasted with some dark chocolate, cinnamon with hints of smoke and roasted malt in the finish. Good.

On tap at the brewery. It pours a mostly clear pale yellow color with a white head. The aroma is very tropical with lots of mango, melon and papaya. The flavor is the same. A little more floral hops with some very light crackery pale malts. Creamy mouth feel. Mango and grapefruit stand out with some light hop spice in the bitterness. Very solid.

On tap at the brewery. It pours a golden color with a creamy white head. The aroma is full with melon, papaya and mango. Very fruity and tropical. The flavor is nice and lightly toasted with hints of caramel, big fruity notes of mango, papaya with some lightly peppery/floral bitterness. Good. A bit too much toasty crystal malt for my tastes, but otherwise spot on.

On tap at the brewery. It pours a clear pale yellow color with no head. The aroma has some orange peel, wheat and some light spice. Kind of like a Witbier. The flavor is spicy with more orange peel and a little soap in the finish. Light sweetness and good wheat character. Nice if you think of it as a Witbier. I’m not picking up on the agave.
