0,473l can from Drikbeer advent calendar, #11. Canned 9/26/24. Murky dark red/purple beer with medium pink head. Aroma and flavor is heavily sweet with huge amount of berries. Smells just like grandma's berry juice. Flavor follows. Smooth and juicy, intense taste of berries. Strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant with vanilla, lactose and huge amount of sugar. So sweet, that sour notes are almost missing, which makes this a perfect sour for my taste.

On tap at Evil Twin NYC - Dumbo, pours a deep dark burgundy with a small beige head. Aroma is rather muffled, with dry bready caramel and maybe a bit of espresso � but it�s hard to get much here. Flavour is sweet and muffled, with candied caramel, brown sugar, and bready malt. Not getting most of the adjuncts and there aren�t even nice malts here. Pretty uncoordinated.

On tap at Evil Twin NYC - Dumbo, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma has oily coffee, vanilla beans, dark sugars, and a hint of coconut. Flavour is surprisingly absent of the adjuncts, with medium roasted malt, dark sugars that have been fermented out, and low in residual sugars. Surprisingly smooth for 15.5%, but also surprisingly absent on the vanilla, coffee and coconut. It�s fine, but this one leaves my scratching my head with how underwhelming it is.

On tap at Evil Twin NYC - Dumbo, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma has very gentle smoke, with a thin biscuity malt base. Flavour is more smoky than the nose suggested with intense bitterness. The smoke is nicely situated but this is actually quite astringently bitter, almost too much. It�s good but not a typical or refined rauch.

On tap at Evil Twin NYC - Dumbo, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has grassy hops, a touch of oak, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is crisp, with tangy, grassy hops, dry oak, and crisp biscuity. Dry, crisp, oaky and well-hopped. Very nice.

Can, 11.5%. Hazy dark amber/brown with medium tan head. Aroma is malt, caramel, toasted, dark fruit and a little bread. Flavour is malt, caramel, toasted, sweet, warming, hop and a little bitter.

Not a smoothie, not cloying and nicely sour, what's going on? Raspberry, candy strawberry, smooth, balanced insofar that applies for the style. Very nice.
