Pours hazy deep red with a pinkish head. Aroma has notes of malt, sweet cherries, wood and alcohol. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long warm, woody and aquavit finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Clear deep nutty color with a fine off white head. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium (+) body and a fine carbonation level. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Caramel, fruity and citric flavor. A really nice beer with food.

330ml bottle bought at Gulating Ølutsalg Tromsø. Pearl white head, cloudy golden body, dotted spots on the glass. Grapefruit nose. Orange and grapefruit to the taste buds. Harsh and short lived hop fruity end. Easy to drink. Shrimp friendly (Tromsø 28.10.2016).

Sampled at Nøgne Ø/Zwanze 2016. Unclear yellow golden body with a big, lacing white head. Aroma has citric fruit, hint of cat pee and smoke. Flavor is medium sweet malt, slightly peated, mild acidic fruit and wood, not so much bitterness. Medium bosy and aftertaste. Different and interesting take on the wild IPA style, but ends up a bit messy. Keep on trying.

Sampled at Nøgne Ø/Zwanze 2016. Almost clear, deep red body with a very small white head. Really strong cherry aroma with hint of wood and acidity. Flavor is the opposite of the aroma, the cherry is more in the background with wood and aquavit dominating, still acidic. Something feels almost sweet here, but not really sweet either, could be the residual of the aquavit? Medium body and sour aftertaste with a bit of harsh dry wood. Kind of interesting but a bit messy.
