Small offwhite head. Clear deep red body. Fruity red berry aroma with vaguely funky notes. Dry-acidic fruity wild berry taste with grainy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dry-acidic earthy grainy aftertaste. Infected, or it could be the tap lines. Anyway, no good. (0.33l draft at Håndverkerstuene. I’ll try to rerate if I can.)

Draft sample @ Haand fest ’16, Drammen. Shared with the Norwegian tasting crew.

Draft sample @ Haand fest ’16, Drammen. Shared with the Norwegian tasting crew.

500ml bottle, batch 0057, kindly shared by Cunningham. Near black body, Remaining filmy layer, dotted spots on the glass. Brown and black malty nose, nicely roasted. Tasting notes of caramel and dark chocolate followed by smooth roasted malty bitterness to the finish. Medium bodied. Pretty nice (The great Munch drinking session, hotel room, Oslo 15.03.2016).

Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting, as Elvebakken Gård Svensefjøset Stout, ABV 4.7%. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Low beige head. Dryish roasty aroma, notes of cold coffee and dark bitter chocolate. Light bodied. Dry flavour, roast malts, mild coffee. Not great, but okay.

Nice ok and easy drinkable beer.
Clear nutty color with a fine off white head. Some lacing on the glass. Moderate intensity in the aroma. Medium body and a fine carbonation. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Caramel malty dominated flavor. Also a bit crystal malt, fruity, hoppy and bready.
