On tap at Nøgne Ø, Zwanze Day. It pours a red, lightly unclear, to brown body with no head. Cherries, almond and some diacetyl-ish notes in the aroma. Rather funky on the palate, full to medium bodied, with a low carbonation level. Semi-dry, with flavors of cherry, some almond and a light diacetyl touch I suspect is related to the cherries more than to the brewing process. Cherry dominated finish. Quite decent this one, might of course be that I’m strict on the score after a bunch of Cantillon beers, but I think it’s more or less just a decent beer that neither impresses nor disappoints. 161001

On tap at Nøgne Ø, Zwanze Day. An unclear, golden colored beer with a dense, white head. Lightly funky aroma with the mostly piney hops dominating. A hint of alcohol and some sweetish maltyness blends in. It’s quite dry on the palate though, pleasantly carbonated, lightly warming and full-bodied, with a nice bitterness. Piney hops and some malty sweetness too. Lasting funky and bitter finish. Quite pleasant this one, indeed. 161001

Black with a small short lived brown head - Dark malt and dark fruity aromas - Dark malt body with hints of herbal flavours and some hints of dark chocolate and wood with alcohol heat - The dark malts goes into the finish with alcohol heat - a little bit to much alcohol heat, but stll a nice beer

Bottled 330ml. Murky brown color, huge cloudy off-white head. Gusher bottle. Caramel, grass, yeast. Light-bodied. Grass, caramalt, fruits. Quite meh. A bit harsh aftertaste.

Bottled. Gusher warning. Deep amber colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, some yeasty and alcoholic notes. Flavour is fruity, floral some toffee and mild yeasty notes. Quite watery mouthfeel.

33cl bottle @Norski tasting, Vaasa. Gusher. Poured dark amber color with a thick huge white head. Marzipan, ripe fruits, yeast in aroma. Flavor has sweet fruits, yeast, spices, hops. Dry finish.

Zwanze day 2016. Aroma is cherries, aquavit. Flavor is cherries, aquavit, cherry stone, malt, hop. Wonderful in the aroma and something harsh in the flavor.

33cl bottle from Meny Kolsås. Pours hazy organe with a modest, white head. Fruity aroma dominated by citrus with notes of tropical fruits, pale malt and hints of yeast.
