Bottle. Clear golden yellow color, fluffy white head. Aroma of sweet berries and leon. Taste is similar.

12 ounce bottle. Opaque black color topped by a brief tan head. Aroma is roasted coffee and sweet cocoa. Flavor is light roasted malt with notes of nuts and coffee. Slightly sour backdrop with a touch of nutty coffee flavor in the finish.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking semi-hazy burnt yellow to orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some light lacing speckling the sidesof the glass.
The smell had a strong presence of sweet caramel malts making up most of the aroma but still allowing a light citrus bittersweetness.
The taste was definitely better as the bittersweet citrus hops come forward more to blend nicely with the caramel malts. A light sweet sticky citrus to caramel aftertaste leads to a dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed good for the style and for me. Bitterness is there and rolls nicely over my tongue.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good AIPA for the taste and palate. Probably could use a bit more in the aroma but could also be a decent food beer as well.

Darker pale yellah and smell is mild fermented vanilla if that’s possible. Very unique first impressions. Much better than expected considering the over the tops stuff in vanilla that’s been happen en. Never in yer face. Much easier to enjoy than a typical vanilla beer, better balance of beer and spice. Good job Not bad. Good but I don’t think I could do a sixer of these. Yes, finish is same, slight tart fruity vanilla thang.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy golden orange color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of black cherry, lemon, pear, apple, cracker, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of of black cherry, pale malt, and fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of black cherry, lemon, pear, apple, cracker, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Minimal earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of black cherry, lemon, pear, apple, cracker, bread, light honey, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and robustness of black cherry, pale malt, and fruity yeast flavors; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Very authentic on cherry flavor as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly creamy/slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very good fruited cream ale. All around good robustness and balance of black cherry, pale malt, and fruity yeast flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep orange/copper color with a 1 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of raisin, plum, apple, caramel, toffee, toast, biscuit, brown sugar, nuttiness, light smoke, herbal, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Nice aromas with good complexity and solid balance of fruity/earthy yeast and dark/bready malt notes; with good strength. A bit too fruity in the nose. Taste of caramel, toffee, toast, biscuit, brown sugar, plum, apple, light nuttiness, light smoke, light herbal, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Minimal earthy herbal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toffee, toast, biscuit, brown sugar, plum, apple, light nuttiness/smoke, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt and light-moderate fruity/earthy yeast flavors; with zero cloying flavors present after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, moderately creamy, and lightly bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice Scottish ale style. All around good robustness, balance, and complexity of dark/bready malt and light-moderate fruity/earthy yeast flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Taste of lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, caramel, toast, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, orange peel, caramel, toast, biscuit, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of citrus/earthy hops and dark/bready malt flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly creamy/sticky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a solid pale ale style. All around good balance and robustness of citrus/earthy hops and dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. Seemed more like an English style overall, and was pleasantly enjoyable.

Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toast, toffee, vanilla, cream, and roasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt and coffee/vanilla notes; with solid strength. Taste of milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toast, toffee, vanilla, cream, and roasted earthiness. Minimal roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toast toffee, vanilla, cream, and roasted earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Good complexity, balance, and solid robustness of dark/roasted malt and coffee/vanilla flavors; with a good malt/spice balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is okay. Definitely thin for a stout, but not horrible. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a solid coffee cream stout. Good complexity, balance, and solid robustness of dark/roasted malt and coffee/vanilla flavors; and very smooth to drink. Definitely should have been more robust and creamy considering the ABV, but it was pleasantly enjoyable.

Argh. Nose hinted at some floral hops and caramel malts, fairly simple in construction, but also moreso diacetyl. Flavor was dominated by diacetyl with some spicy hops skirting the edges, and a sweet malt base. Misery Bay indeed.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very dark brown color - almost black - with a medium sized foamy orange-tan head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was roasty coffee beans. The flavor was bitter and sour with a strong brewed coffee element and notes of vanilla, roasty malts and a touch of floral hops. Long sour brewed coffee finish. Medium body. Nice.
