Description
Valkyrie Brewing Company is regionally significant because it was the first microbrewery in Northwest Wisconsin. We started the brewery 20 years ago in Dallas , WI. For many years the brewery was called Viking. In 2010 we sold the Viking trademark to a brewery in Iceland and changed our name to Valkyrie.
Many people ask us, why Dallas? That's an easy question to answer. Because of the water! The water here in Dallas is so soft that it allows us to brew any style of beer. Through the years we have brewed over 38 different beers of our own plus a large number of contract brews. We LOVE beer!
Dallas may seem like it is in the middle of nowhere, but it really isn't. It is a short jaunt from the Twin Cities and is located along a shortcut from there to Northwest Wisconsin's vacation land. We are only 10 miles off of Hwy 53 and 12 miles north of Hwy 64. It is a beautiful drive no matter which way travel to Dallas!
Stop by. We'd love to visit with you!

Has a hops taste that was barely present in the honey moon. Gold, small head. Aroma of honey. Flavor was mild with honey and very light hops; a little sweet. Refreshing. Well done.

The first barleywine I have really liked. I aged this for about 9 months. Aromas of wood, sugar, dried fruit. These are also in the flavor with the addition of sweet malt. Lightly hopped. Sweet. Best lightly chilled; too sweet at room temp.

An exceptionally unique beer. Powerful aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg, and eggnog. Complex with lots of flavors. Cinnamon, citrus, eggnog, and spice. This is good stuff. Tastes like...Christmas.

Light red and clear. lots of bubbles but no head. Mild aroma of smoke and wood. Surprisingly complex, with flavors of wood, smoke, hops, and malt. all of the tastes are very subtle and none stand out. Thin. Finish is very dry. a good attempt, but needs more body and a more defined and overt aroma.

A light and refreshing wheat. Cloudy yellow. Aroma of citrus. Slightly sweet, noticeable spice. The brewer says this a Belgian white.

A light wheat with a light color. There is some citrus in the aroma. Fruit in the aroma and the flavor. Thin and very refreshing. I think viking could do a better wheat. An ok beer, certainly not bold as the description says. Doesn't seem to be a wheat at all, but a good summer be anyway.

An unusual ipa. Color is light brown, taste and body is light. The first taste is fruit, followed by bitter hops in the finish. I would like a more full bodied ipa from viking.
