Sampled at CBC 2013. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, lightly roasty, chocolate and something weird I can’t get my finger on. It was introduced as an Abbey Dubbel, but tastes more like an Imperial Stout. Medium body and carbonation.

Tap at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. Poured a very slightly hazy yellow colour with a fluffy white head. The aroma is big zesty fruit and yeast. The flavour is clean, slightly sour, with grapefruit and yeast. There seems to be a hint of caramel on the palate too. I can’t think of anyone who would not think this was a gorgeous beer!

Pours dark orange with a smooth white head. Aroma of caramely malts, sweet notes, some grassy hops. Taste is sweet and sticky with some malty notes, caramel and fruits. Finish is sweetish and sticky with some malty and hoppy notes. Doesn’t feel very fresh.
