Bottle, 64cl. A big, off-white head forms over a slightly unclear golden body. The aroma is on the hoppy side, but a bit weak I think. Some malts in the back, but tropical fruits dominates. Some citrusy hints too. Soft maltyness on the palate, a bit thin I think, especially considering the ABV. Pleasant carbonation level. Citrus, generic fruityness and some bitterness in the flavor. Could certainly use more bitterness. Overall, a beer that could use a bit more of almost everything, but it’s a fine brew anyway. 120413

Pours black with ruby highlights and a fading head.Nose shows a fair bit of roasted coffee, roasted malt and cocoa. Tempting.Flavours include more enticing coffee, soft roasted malt and bitter chocolate.Body seems a little watery, but that’s a very small complaint.Incredibly easy-drinking stuff.

33 cl. bottle. Cloudy brown colour with a dark golden hue. Big, fluffy off-white head. Sweet and fruity aroma with caramel, grains, toffee, some light floral and grassy hops. Light sweet taste with yeasts. Light to medium body, lively carbonated. Finishes with biscuits, toffee, and a slight hop bitterness. The yeast shows as a complex fruitiness. A little bit messy - or complex. Hefty price tag.

(bottle) Poured cloudy amber with a big beige head. Wonderful hop aroma - floral and tropical fruity. Full bodied with excellent plentiful carbonation. The flavour strikes a lovely balance of interesting malts and hoppy bitterness. There’s tangy fruit at the start developing body and richness with a hint of spice leading to a good bitter finish. Overall an excellent and different beer giving an extra dimension to the typical hop-centred IPA.

Tasting at Papsø’s
Cloudy deep blond color. The aroma is a bit hop-fruity, and yeasty. Decent toffee flavor, quite dry, with strong bitterness and some hop resins, some bitter orange too; cardboard. Easy, messy.
