Golden-amber colour. On the nose, there's a soft, sweet apple nose, with a light nutmeg sort of aroma. Very sticky, sweet, has a nice tartness that lends balance.

750ml bottle at Brian's. Pours a clear copper with no head. Aroma is woody, bitter, some pharmacy and red currant notes. Taste is along the same line, very bitter and sweet. Too bitter for me.

Tall dram in a low-ball glass @ Owl Farm. Citrus wasn't in the original recipe I want to say. Laquered clear copper body. Smell is fumey with Angelica, sharp ice cider & something that reminds me of warm fennel. Taste as well is sharp, rich, intentionally bitter & tannic. Cranberry-like dryness. Big rind. Thin. Numbing. Doesn't need to be considered a mixer. Really like this.

Beautiful amber colour. Strong smell of incense, plastic. Bit of sweetness, strong Bitters flavour, the herbal character is moderate, some acidity and some alcohol. A bit earthy.

Bottle, pours a clear golden caramel. Aroma is very herbal, with liquorice, basil and rosemary. Flavour is tart and herbal, with tart green apples, lots of miscellaneous herbal notes, and a bit of tartness. Unusual and puzzling. Interesting.

375mL bottle, pours a hazy dull blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of champagne must, light funk and a nice acidity. Flavour is bone dry, with a really nice champagne funk and crisp apple acidity. Finishes bone dry, with a nice mustiness. Really good.

Bottle pour at Northeast Kingdom, pours a hazy dull yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out light tannins, a touch of treacle and light brown sugars. Flavour is along the same lines, with gentle tannins, brown sugar and plenty of tannins. Crisp and pleasantly acidic. Very good.

Bottle pour at Northeast Kingdom, pours a hazy yellowish blonde with a tiny white head. Aroma brings out bone dry notes, champagne yeast and light oaky barrel notes. Flavour is bone dry, with lots of oaky barrel character and bone dry apple skins. Gentle acidity with not a trace of residual sugar. Very good.

Bottle sample at Northeast Kingdom, pours a clear dark amber. Aroma brings out an earthier oak barrel character, with rich toffee and brown sugar. Flavour is unbelievably intense and complex, with rich treacle toffee, earthy oak barrels and dark red caramel apples. Complex and so richly layered. Amazing.

Flavour is intensely decadent, with loads of rich, complex apple brandy, oak, treacle toffee and caramel apple. Complex and wonderfully crafted. Lovely.
