Description
When we started making brilliant, innovative beer back in 1983, the craft beer thing was just a glint in Harvie’s eye. Now, more than 35 years later, we are proud to be the forefathers of this movement to better beer. Harviestoun is a proud, family-run business, our Chairmen Sandy Orr and Donald MacDonald champion a dedication to the craft that produces award-winning, natural brews made using the finest ingredients and purest Scottish water.

Founded in 1983 by Ken Brooker, the Scottish brewery has grown steadily to become renowned for their award winning beers. Head brewer, Stuart Cail, joined Harviestoun in 1995. Over the years the brewery has found new and innovative ways to create truly unique beers from their whisky cask aged Old Engine Oil to Bitter and Twisted, aged in Gin and Pinot Noir barrels.

Flaska från SB. Kladdig opak närmast svart vätska. Doft av whiskey, choklad, fudge, torkad frukt, dadlar. Mjuk och len, whiskey och dadlar främst i en snyggt harmonisk smakbild. Gott

330 ml can. My how the times have changed. Their putting this in a can. Nearly opaque black brown color. Dense foamy tan head. Roasted malt aroma hints at charred wood and campfire smoke. Flavor follows nose. Perhaps some smoky peat and tangy funk as well. Worcestershire sauce and dark chocolate. An iconic and tasty Porter.

Keg @ Gallery, West Hampstead. Blonde with a creamy head. Crisp and very cold, it tastes less like a lager for this. Its activity is placid, and light lager notes develop as the beer warms up. Easy enough in the palate.

Rocky light brown head left a spotty cover on a still black body. Malt, berry, whisky & raisin aroma. Medium bodied, super smooth, creamy & clean on the back. Malt, whisky, jam, raisin, fruit cake & lightly spiced tastes with a long warming finish. Excellent.
