Honey and notes of freshly sprung birch leafs. Mid bitter finish. Surprisingly harmonious and pleasant for a difficult style. This brewery keeps improving.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Dark brown, small head. Somewhat chocolatey nose with licorice and coffee. Mid sweet with medium to full body and rounded mouthfeel. Licorice and chocolate on dark bread, salty notes. Long bitter finish.

Bottle (thanks to the brewers!). Hazy amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is honey, some firewood and mild wooden tones. Flavour is honey, some herbs, firewood and mild wooden tones. Rather sweet. Tasty. More Braggot than Barleywine (name has braggot, label says Barley wine with honey and firewood).
