330ml can and bottles. Pours lager colour with a thick white head. Aroma is peach and lemon. Flavour is very peachy, plenty of citrus and only a touch of the boiled vegetable notes that so often pop up in the style, and even then only when it warms. After a week of drinking a lot of this, I feel safe in making a decisive judgement. It’s not a good beer, certainly by the standards of this site. However, you shouldn’t come to Vanuatu for the beer, and you can have much worse beer experiences than a few cold Tuskers by the pool at the end of a long day in the sun. It’s really not too bad.

330ml bottle. Aroma is all sweet lemon and a little lager acidity. Flavour is far too sweet, and it’s all lemon. I was hoping for a radler type thing, but instead this is just lager with a huge quantity of lemon syrup in it. I’d much rather have had another of the underlying lager.

Bottled (thanks omhper, and the chain to got this beer to him!). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is herbal, grainy, mild strange vegetably sweetness to it. Flavour is grains, some strange sweetness and a bit cardboard as well.

Bottle bought at a Supermarket in Port Vila, Vanuatu, August 2014. Clear light golden with a small white head. Thin with lemon and some light notes of bread. Better than the "real" beers from the same Brewery.

Bottle from a Supermarket in Port Vila, Vanuatu, August 2014. Clear light golden with a white head. Thin with notes of malt and some alcohol. Also some light bitterness in the finish. Really nothing to write home about.

Bottle at Erakor Island Resort, Vanuatu, August 2014. Clear light golden with a white head. Very thin and boring with cardboard, bread and some boiled vegetables. Actually really awful.

Light gold. Smells like strong lager, lightly grassy like Tusker but with more alcohol. Lightly alcoholic but doesn’t taste 7% and it has just a vague maltiness. OK strongish lager.

Compared with the regular Tusker, this is heavier, with more of a malt accent, but less flavour overall. Ok, but the lack of hop hurts it.

Pale gold. Grassy hop aroma, with a delicate spiciness. The hop doesn’t show up much on the palate (or even the nose unless it’s really fresh). It’s a fairly thin beer, light with vague hop and a little grainy sourness in the finish. Uneventful, serviceable lager.
