Sample on tap at Brix. Pours a clear bronze color, with a small, biege ring. The nose is pumpernickel, rye, and black pepper, with a little bit of resinous hops. Sweet and malty, with a light bitterness. Light body, with a flat, lightly acidic mouthfeel. This is a pretty fair Irish red.

Amber, slight haze. Aroma shows light pear-like hop, not necessarily amarillo. Light body, malts are a little too chewy, caramelly and the hops get a little bit lost in all that. Disappointing.

Tap - dark ruby pour - soapy lace - nose f raisin, fig, toffee, vanilla, brown sugar - kind of light for the style and abv, but the mouthfeel is fairly slick and the alcohol is well-masked - flavor is expectedly very sweet - the raisin is fairly prominent and adds a nice depth of flavor, which is good because the malt structure is pretty simple and the yeast adds almost no character whatsoever - the raw sugar is also very present and cloyingly sweet - some alcohol peppery/spicy notes in the finish - simplistic - I expect something like this to have a lot more depth.

Tap - clear gold pour - lively, with a thick lace - obvious Dupont-inspired - I wouldn’t be suprised if this uses Dupont yeast - nose is floral, with a light mineral bite, some perfume and muskiness, llight pils malt sweetness - flavor is initially sweet, clean pils malt, but it dries out fast, bringin some mineral and a lovely mixture of rustic and peppery phenols - a mild tartness late - crisp, peppery finish - quite a nice surprise.

Tap - listed as "Munich Helles" - lively pour - frothy lace - nose of crackery malt, grassiness, mild mineral, light sulpher - light body, fairly crisp flavor - medium dry up front, with medium bitter hops and limestone - gets a gentle sweetness and bready character late, but crispness returns for the finish - a touch of sulphur, but otherwise a decent summer.quaffer.

Tap @ Echo. Pours a reddish, dark brown appearance with a tan head. A bit min/piney, caramel, chocolate malty aroma. Pretty roasty, bitter piney, herbal hoppy flavor with some booze and a fair amount of bitterness on the finish. The abv is tuned a bit too high for me on this one.

Tap @ Echo. Pours a deep brown appearance with a cream colored head. Roasty dark malty, light coffee, mild toffee aroma. Burnt, a bit sweet malty, light anise, toffee, a bit charred flavor. Body is a bit thin but not bad.
