Draft at The Old Fashioned, Madison. Filtered amber-brown color. Nice thin, lasting head. Mild figgy sweet malt aroma. Sweet malt thickness. No real hop character. Some fig additive really starts to shine through. Good, but I don’t think figs make up for Belgian yeast depth.

Black. Medium palate. The aroma has coffee and malt. More coffee in the flavor, with heavily roasted malt. A good coffee stout from this small brewery.

No carbonation. Dry, grain character. A little alcohol in the flavor. Brown color. It could be a little sweeter and maybe some fruit character would be good.

Thanks to Skyview for sharing from his growler. Grain and alcohol in the flavor and the aroma. Some nuts. The palate is quite thick for what this is, and it is probably the best quality of the beer. There is only so much that you can do with a brown ale and in its style, it is a fine beer.

pour was a murky brown with a small tan head. Aroma has not of dark fruit and a strong candi sugar. Flavor was decent as well with some fig and a nice helping of candi sugar. Sme alcohol shows in this one but this is still a decent dubbel.

From Skyview’s growler. Lots of coriander in the aroma. Thin and yellow beer but well carbonated, creating a tall white head. Flavor has wheat and more coriander, some butter, and is a little sweet. Hint of citrus. A nice wit.

From Skyview’s growler. A good ipa, and an appreciably better beer than their golden ale. Gold color. Good hop aroma and hop flavor, with some pine. Bitter, with a medium palate. A session ipa I would drink again.
