Tap at Rhythm and Booms Filtered orange-yellow body, traditional heller-bock look. Classic and true to style. Enjoyable.

Firkin at AleFort (Catch up rating). Dark and oily, but the rest of this brew makes up for the lack of appearance. Rich, smoky, chocolaty, traces of peat. Slight enhancements from the firkin additions. Delicious, even on a warm spring day.

On tap at the Boise brewery Slightly hazy orange amber. Thin beige head. Fruity tropical hap aroma. Mild toasted malts and more of the juicy fruit hop flavors. Pretty big overall.

On tap at WA Winter Beer Festival 2015, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out herbal notes, some spiciness from the rye and a touch of hops. Flavour is very bizarre, with an artificial orange syrupy quality upfront, resin, and some spiciness. Man, this is messed up. No way this cloying orangey sweetness is needed. Crap.

Draft @ Meridian Ram. Thick and cloudy amber color with plenty of beige head... Light lacing. Mild scent of spices; nutmeg and cinnamon. Pretty standard maltiness with the aforementioned spices... rather easy drinking.

Bottle shared by Yaniv. Dry oak immediately in the flavor. Heavily roasted grain. Some port and red wine, and a thick, heavy palate. I get the gin barrel though a light herbal quality. This was very good.
