Can - lightly hazy gold with a fairly thick lace - malt profile in the nose and flavor are lean, clean, understated - really just a base for the hop profile, which is really what I typically prefer in IPAs - while I’m not the biggest fan of simcoe hops, the garlicky character I often get from them is not really present here (only the slightest bit in the nose) - mostly the aroma and flavor are highly herbal, with moderate pine, and some white grape fruitiness - bitterness is not as assertive as some mint expect in the current IPA market, but it is still nicely bitter, but balanced in the finish - I like it.

Can @ home, picked up at Boulder Liquor Mart. Pours a hazy, rust orange appearance with a big tan head. Quite spicy hops in the nose with some spruce / pine, dank weed, grapefruit, lemon, and a little funk. Moderate high carbonation. Fairly high sweetness and moderate high bitterness. Quite herbal. A little bit of wood. Lemon, orange citrus, twang, and pine. Not that great.

Can. Pours black tan head. Nose/taste of sour cranberry, earth, roast chocolate. Medium body.

Pours black , ok head . Smell is bit tart , very fruity , slightly roasted . Taste is rather dry , sharp tartness . Slightly fruity , more fruits build up in the finish

Bomber - mostly clear light copper - pour appears undercarbonated - minimal lace, body looks nearly still - nose is pretty nice - mildly musky, with notes of pineapple, light herbal notes, some phenolic brett character (faint hints of Orval-ish qualities) - flavor is fairly simple, kind of.watery - lightly tart up front, but some.sweetness settles in late - light tropical fruit, herbal.hops, mild funkiness - much cleaner than most brett beers, and overall a little plain, but I like it.

Can - I bought this more for the name and can than anything else (I mean, the can’s got a picture of Bruce Campbell with a chainsaw hand cutting a zombie spruce tree in half - I’m not gonna NOT buy that) - anyway - pours a fizzy dark brown, nearly black, but fails to kick up a head - kind of looks like cola - nose is fairly sweet toffee and chocolate, with some mild roast and mild to moderate earthy spruce - slick texture - I don’t always enjoy spruce in beer, but in a stout (in this stout, at least) it seems to work okay - it’s a little sweet, but there is moderate acidity through the middle, followed by a more dry roastiness before some mild hop bitterness and spruce finish things off - slightly warming finish - the sweetness is a bt much as it warms, but it’s still interesting througout - it’s decent, but I still like the label on the can more than I like the beer IN the can

Can - pour is mildly hazy orange - very lively carbonation produces a thick, well-retained head - not really a saison - more like an IPA with mild belgian character - the nose is all citric and woody American-style hoppiness at first - there is some light yeast muskiness, pineapple (hard to tell if it’s an ester or the hops) and light pepper phenols - despite the lively carbonation, the mouthfeel is a little watery - flavor is medium sweet tropical fruit, followed by fairly strong bitterness, spicy hop character - mild rustic and earthy phenolics and some peppery warmth finish, reminding you this is supposed to be a saison - eh - as long as I look at as a Belgian IPA, I enjoy it okay.

Tap at the brewery - ick - tastes like they made a decent sessionable pumpkin beer and dumped a bunch of malic acid into it - there is also a note of acetic acid - underneath the sharp acids there are notes of smoke, wood, raisin, tobacco - the nose is actually quite nice, was th some prune and smoke, with limited acid - however, the flavor is mostly one-dimensional acidity - would like to try the base beer.

Tap at the brewery - what on odd beer to put brett in - really fits.better in the marzen catagory - mostly malt forward - pleasant, toasty, moderately rich - brett odds some odd herbal notes and lightly dirty phenolics, band aid - pretty much just tastes like a lightly.infected ofest - meh.

Tap at the brewery - clear light gold - well-attenuated, with a lovely, creamy texture, but rather simplistic, tasting more like a blonde ale than anything else - a hint of phenolics (peppery) and very crackery malts - I actually like it quite a bit, but not as a saison.
