A hazy orange beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel. The flavor is dominated by minerals and sweet malt. Typical Lithuanian with the minerals, and quite nice.

Sampled draught at Šnekutis beer bar, Pasvalys.
Cloudy orange, brief creamy head. Really honeyish, but still quite dry and surprisingly crisp and light bodied. The mouthfeel is soft, perhaps because like with all the beers at this little paradisic little beergarden in the bar owners backyard it is served with low carbonation. It is very hoppy, but mostly aromatic - as the Lithuanuian hops don’t have much bitterness. The finish is all about minerals, deriving from the special water in this region, which gives a really bitter finish, even though the hops are not bitter in themselves.

This beer, and this pub was an experience that rocked my beer world. And oh, if you try to locate the brewery you might find that it looks like a normal house. This appears to be the case with most of the countless little brewers in this region.
