Description
Hey! Welcome to Urban Roots. We’re here because we love people and beer. We wanted to make beer and create a space to show that love to the world. Our place has plenty of room for people to hang out and enjoy one another, some super fresh beer and some really tasty food. Urban Roots started when Rob and Peter decided it was time to open the brewery they’d been dreaming of for a long long time. They wanted a place where they could express their love for the industry they’ve been a part of for so long. With Urban Roots they hope to pay homage to all of the wonderful people they have met on their journey. People that showed them amazing beer and maybe more importantly showed them a good time.

Can from Cap Tap. Pours dirty, hazy grapefruit color with a large foamy white head. Aroma approaches dank with a sharp citrus note. It's tropical too. Med body at least. Sharp and bitter fruit - dry/astringent - Citrus/passion fruit/guava are candidates. Fruity, dry and bitter. Very nice and very tasty.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours dark brn/blk with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate and dark malt. Near med body. Flavor is earthy/chalky chocolate with smooth dark malt. A bit different sort of Schwartz, but very tasty - probably because it’s rather dry.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours hazy grapefruit gold with a white head. Heading for dank tropical citrus aroma. Medium body. Flavor is towards dank with tropicals and citrus. Malty enough for support. But towards dry. Fruitily delicious.

Can from Cap Tap. Pours translucent gold with a slight white head. Dank aroma. Seems pine/evergreen/hemp. Call it full bodied. Slick mouthfeel. Slight heat/hop burn. Dank it is. Lots of pine/weed. Could it be some sort of sage rather than weed? Fair amount of caramel support. Not dry dry, but not sweet either. No ingredients were spared to make this magnificent brew. Sky rockets in flight Hop head's delight Hop head's delight Hop head's delight

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours hazy orange tinged gold with a white head. Aroma is dank, but not really citrus/pine. Med body or better. Flavor is dank and hoppy. Very fruity. Having a little trouble with what fruit, and there’s an earthy/herb/veg thing in the depths. A bet less than dry. Bitter enough. Mango/citrus for fruity? Ah well. It tastes very good.

Tap at Cap Tap. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is a rather unusual earthy/something. Kind of burns. Med body. Flavor is earthy/pale stone fruit/citrus. Quite earthy. Pretty hoppy. Reasonably dry. Decently bitter. Pale stone fruit seems to pop up after quite awhile. Gets drier too. A little different.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours clear ruddy/copper in medium bright/darkness with an off-white head. Aroma is making me think red apple and very light roasty malt. Med body. Hallaleuah - not getting chocolate flavor. Not getting apple either. Thinking it’s citrus/pine primarily with some lightly roasty malt. Dryer than expected. Moderately hoppy. Moderately bitter. Quite decent for an “amber” thing. Enough hop to save the beer!

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours translucent dark gold with a white head. Stone fruit aroma with a little roasty malt. Flavor is very much pale stone fruit, with roasty/mild malt support, and something a bit citrus or pine in a very small amount. Fruitily undry a bit, moderately hoppy, moderately bitter. Tastes good.
