Draft - Dried apricots or nectarine. Clearish gold with a beige head. Dried apricots and a light finish. It is what it says.

Cask at the brewery. Medium brown, big coffee nose, massive coffee taste. Yeah, no balance, just a mess of mediocre coffee (Agro is not an elite roaster) and overly roasty amber ale.

Toasty nose, dark amber, thin head. Quite austere roastiness, light burnt biscuit malts. Like burnt amber ale...not altbier-like.

Amber colour with a touch of haze. Aroma has light rye, light fruity esters. Very heavy on the rye. Good bitterness and as much as I’ve ever tasted.

Sweet, light apricot taste, very light body, light amber. Has a mellow character, the base rye making basically no impression.

On cask at Callister Brewing, pours a deep dark mahogany / amber with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out a mix of coffee and English malt. Flavour is pretty much the same, with coffee and English malt, as well as a butterscotch sweetness. Very soft palate. Not overly interesting but it's drinkable.

On tap at Callister, pours a fairly clear dark amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out toasted malt - not a whole lot else. Flavour is similar, with lots of toasted malt and a light bitterness on the finish. Pretty one-dimensional but decent enough. Meh.

On tap at Callister Brewing, pours a clear bronze with a small off-white head. Nose brings out considerable spicy rye and herbal notes. Flavour is fairly skunky, with herbal and vegetal notes along pronounced spicy rye. Too skunky for my taste, but it's okay.

On tap at Callister Brewing, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out subtle apricot. Flavour brings out stale apricot, along with toasted malt. Not the most dynamic beer. Either the fruit isn't used so well, or the base beer isn't great. Underwhelming.
