Amber, toasty gula melaka nose, soft body, very drinkable, though sweet and a bit watery in the finish. Served too warm - probably because it’s August and I expect that will be brought down to proper cellar temperature in the cooler months.

On cask at the Alibi Room, pours a hazy yellow with a small white head. Nose brings out English hops, some biscuity notes and crackery malt. Flavour is fairly bland, with biscuity malt and light English hopping. Very soft palate as usual from this cask brewer. Not very inspiring but competently made.

On cask at 12 Kings, pours a clear golden blonde with a tiny white head. Aroma brings out bready English malt with peach syrup. Flavour is massively bready and Englishy in the malt department. Not a huge amount of peach, but it's there. Pretty blah beer.

On cask at Callister, pours a clear olden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out light rhubarb notes and mellow English malt. Flavour is smooth, with juicy rhubarb notes upfront tempered by English malt. Clean and balanced but not overly interesting. Decent.

On cask at Callister, pours a clear light orange with a medium white head. Nose brings out loads of maple and praline, indeed giving off a nutty quality. Flavour is quite robust, like a pralines and cream ice cream, with maple and praline dominating with the perfect amount of sweetness. I wouldn't ordinarily be a fan of gimmick beers like this, but this was very enjoyable and well-executed. Very good.

On cask at Callister Brewing, pours a pretty clear dull golden with a small white head. Aroma is very subtle, with bready English malt. Flavour is very light, with dry bready malt and a nice bone dry crackery finish. Smooth on the palate and a good thirst beer, but it's not exciting.

On cask at Callister Brewing, pours a mostly clear pale golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is nearly nonexistent, with subtle hopping. Flavour is quite hoppy, with English hops, not enough bready malt, which leaves a rather unpleasant lingering astringency. Clean and smooth palate, but the finish is a bit too harsh. Still decent.

On cask at Callister Brewing, pours a hazy dark copper orange with a small white head. Aroma brings toasted English malt and crusty bread - dry authentic smelling. Flavour is clean and smooth, with English malt and crusty rye bread. Smooth and clean, with plenty of flavour. Solid take on a traditional style that we don't see much of here.
