The brewing history in Budweis (České Budějovice) starts in 1265. The Budějovický Budvar brewery was founded in 1895. We have been using the name Budvar since 1930 and own a protected trademark.

Poured clear and golden in color.
Malty and grainy with just the best drinkability. Hay, light sweetness.

Keg at New Clarence, Hull. Clear, fizzy, copper gold. Foamy white head. Aroma is not really there. A vague sourness and more vague malts. Flavourwise there's also sweet FA going on. Some tart sourness and watered.down malts. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation
Long dry slightly astringent finish. Rubbish.

Buying this beer during the last summer, at Bratislava, Tesco supermarket, south of the city. Best before 11/25. Tasting it on wednesday, coming back from Altdorf. A typical czech lager, really smooth, malty, dry for the style, light bitterness, average, 15.04.26

500 ml can, as Budvar Nealko, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken, n/a dept. ABV is max. 0.5%. Clear golden colour, moderate to small white head. Typical industrial n/a beer aroma of wort, baby porridge and over-cooked vegetables. The flavour has some of the same elements, but is quite dry, with noticeable and somewhat metallic hops. Thin mouthfeel as expected.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger, as Budvar Fresh Hop. ABV is 5%. Golden colour, white head. The aroma has a nice presence of fresh Zatec / Saaz hops. Fresh hops indeed in the flavour too, pleasant and easy to drink.

Nothing great with this beer, a bit heavy with the alcool, malty, sweet, few hop, a bit boring, I prefer the dark one, 01.03.17, at Bonfol, purchased at one Denner.

Better than most of the macro lagers but its still just a lager. It tastes exactly how you would expect just with a bit more flavour than many of the other big boys out there.

Nagy, tartós hab, borostyán szín. Enyhén karamelles, malátás illat. Malátás, enyhén fűszeres, leheletnyit karamelles íz. Könnyű, közepesen szénsavas, alig keserű. Jó kis ivósör.
