A clean dark brown ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, a sweet nutty malt with light solvent notes, oily. In mouth, a sweet nutty malt with solventy notes, caramel, diacetyl, boring. On tap at Seneca Lodge Brewfest, Dec. 3 2011.

On tap 8/1/2011 Pours a deep copper color with a decent white head that leaves lots of sticky lace down the side of my glass. Smells of bitter citrus and pine mixed with intermittent hints of bread and caramel. Finally something with a decent nose. Taste provides a decent bitter "bite." Citrus and pine vie for attention with grapefruit coming out on top. There’s a smattering of malt in here bread toffee and caramel, but the bitterness keeps them in check. Resinous sticky mouthfeel, medium body and carbonation level. Good IPA, my favorite beer from Market street.

On tap 8/1/2011 Pours a deep dark brown with a tan head that seemed to last forever. Aromas of chocolate, caramel, roasted grains, and a bit of toffee. Smells is quite inviting. Taste is roasty and malty. Chocolate caramel and toffee mixed with a hint of astringency sum up the taste experience here. Fizzy carbonation ruined the mouthfeel for me here, this one seemed a bit over carbonated. Decent brew that might be better served a bit less bubbly.

On tap 8/1/2011 Pours a deep reddish brown color with a thinnish off white head that dissipates quickly. Smells of earth and caramel. Gives off hints of prune and dark burnt sugar but is really kind of boring on the nose. Taste is malty with caramel toffee and barely enough hops to provide any balance. Slight astringent taste in there actually cuts through some of the sweetness, but hops would have been a better choice for that. Medium carbonation with a medium to thin body and a watery sweet mouthfeel. I didn’t enjoy this one much.

On tap 8/1/2011 Pours a deep golden color with a thinnish white head that dissipates slowly and leaves some lace. Earthy, citrusy aroma mixed with a bit of bread and toffee. Taste is much the same, a bitter citrusy hoppy beer with a smattering of toffee and caramel malts. Medium body and carbonation level with a resinous bitter mouthfeel. Decent Pale ale, nothing special but certainly a drinkable beer.

On tap 8/1/2011 Pours a shade darker than golden with a thinnish off white head that dissipates to a ring. Smell is sweet syrupy and fruity with a bit of a honey grainy edge. Smells like someone poured blackberry syrup into their regular lager. Taste confirms that my nose is working. Very sweet fruity taste attached to a backbone of hay and grain. Sickeningly sweet artificial flavors abound with this one. Fizzy carbonation medium body with a syrupy mouthfeel. I should have known better than to order this one, but it was a nice sunny day and we were sitting outside, it seemed like a good idea.

On tap 8/1/2011 Pours a deep clear golden color with a stingy white head that shows a lack of retention. Smell is sweet grainy malt with a touch of honey like sweetness. Yup smells like a macro lager only a hint sweeter. The taste follows the aroma fairly well. Medium body and carbonation level, slick watery mouthfeel. Decent lager, better than the macros, but not outstanding.

Was a purplish hue to an amberish color with white head. Had a nice berry sent that was very pleasant. Taste was of a malt berry, very sweet to the tongue.

Dark color with red haze, white head. Very heavy malt taste and smell. I enjoy dark beer and this was very pleasant.
