Bottle from a supermarket somewhere. It pours slightly hazy amber with a medium , fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, sappy, resinous, biscuit, nutty, grassy, leafy, minty even, candied peel and marmalade. The taste is crisp, dry, decent hit of bitterness, nutty, resinous, hearty malt base, bready, earthy, biscuit, pithy, zesty, candied lemon, leafy, minty, lemon verbena, herbal, spicy and a nip of alcohol with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Pretty old school. Hearty and a bit twiggy tbh.

Bottle. Pale orange, clear, low head. Grassy nose, citrus, mostly resiny pine. Light caramel, honey malts. Grassy, resiny flavor, medium malt, not sweet, caramel and some toast. Ok UK IPA.

Aroma: plums, toffee and burnt caramelly malts. Taste: caramel malts, some plums, intense toffee, demerara, liquorice and bit smoke. Next one please!

500ml bottle from Scottish Real Ale Shop near Callander - deep russet body with a solid white head. Big caramel malty character all through, fruity malt loaf taste and a chewy mouthfeel.
