Draft. A golden/amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of brettanomyces, malt, and caramel. The flavor is acidic with notes of apples, brettanomyces, malt, and caramel, leading to a tart finish.

Keg at Brewdog AGM 2014. Pours hazy orange, thick off-white head. quite light citrus hop aromas, cereal. Taste is more of the same. Honestly thought this was some kinda wit.

Keg at Brewdog aka Queuedog AGM, AECC Aberdeen, 21/06/14. Hazed orange amber with a decent light beige covering that retains well. Nose is juicy hops, straw, bitter orange, tangerine. Taste comprises earthy hops, orange pith, chalky mineral notes, light grapefruit, orange squash. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, earthy citrics and grassy bitterness in the close. Adequate IPA, lacks hop power for me.

Bottle at home. The colour is hazy orange with a big, compact, off-white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, grapefruit, grassy hops, tropical fruit, liqueuer and some pine. The taste is even more fruity with lots of tropical fruits and fruity hop cones. Slick mouth feel and has a light to medium bitterness. A very nice IPA that is well balanced, incredibly fruity, fresh and easy-drinking.

On tap at Crowbar. It’s an almost black one, topped by a small, light tan head leaving some curtains. There’s a faint smoke note on the nose, with roasted malts, licorice, some chocolate and coffee, and a whiff of alcohol. It’s bitter and sweet in the flavor, lots of licorice blends in with the roasted malts. Coffee, chocolate, herbal notes and some higher alcohols. Full-bodied, nicely carbonation. Lasting finish. Sure a nice beer this one, but perhaps a tad intense... in a way. 140503
