Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours brilliant gold with a slight creamy white head. Aroma of grapes. Med minus body. Flavor is white grape and suggestions of tropical fruits. Mild lactic sour notes. Very light and delicate. The sour/tart tends to drift away. A very pleasant beer. Tho the flavors are mild they make a statement.

Bottle. Pours with a mostly clear pale yellow hued body with a large foamy white head. Great lace. Aromas are of lactic acid and funk, some wine barrel tannins, a bit vinous, light vanillin, grainy malt, light grapes and a hint of tropical fruit. Flavors are really watery with a ton of oak lactone and tannin. Sourness is pretty minimal. Grainy, mild funk and damp wood. A bit soapy. Really, shockingly mild in its tartness (compared to the nose). Funk is medium, level and somewhat generic. Lots of wood. Fizzy and a touch off-dry. More complexity than the flemish red, but a very bland and flabby flavor.

Bottle. Pours with a clear copper hued body and a large, foamy off-white head with decent lace and retention. Aromas are of strong red currant, lactic acid, lime, leathery, earthy, deep cherry. Huge cassis aroma overall. Lightly nutty. Flavors are tart, lactic, a bit of plastic, a bit vegital, earthy, nutty, copper (pennies). Very tart character. Really thin with lasting vegital notes. No funk at all and that hinders complexity. Very lively combination. Pretty dry. Drinkable, but one dimensional with a few flavors I don’t care for.

Bottle. Pours with a cola, near black hued body with a medium retentive tan head. Aromas show big cola, fudge, and whiskey barrel, some minerals, chewy, vanillin, light leather, medium ester, jammy/fruit preserves. Dark fruit. Flavors are leathery, minerals, cola and bourbon. Reasonably dry finish with tons of tannins and bitterness. Oaky notes and a bit harsh. Medium carbonation, fuller body, lots of tannins.

Bomber from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy orange with a slight creamy beige head. Aroma is boozy, citrus, pine, maybe rye. Full bodied. It’s brown sugar, lots of hop, detectable rye spice. It’s a fairly well balanced barley wine to me. Despite the boozy aroma, there’s little if any heat. There’s a sensation - could be hop, or rye spice, or alcohol or a combo. Very nice drink.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Acetone aroma (almost goes with it) with white wine and light spice. Acetone and grape flavor with fruity esters and light spice. Medium bodied. Grape and light spice lingers with light yeast and light acetone. Big flaws, but it works.

50cl bottle pours a hazy, deep gold with some lacing, bright white head. Aroma is very approachable, grass, straw, lemon, orange, something a bit odd too, a little cleaning solution. Flavor is malty, light cracker, some lemon, soap, oddly astringent. Lightly sweet, lightly soapy finish.
