Bomber from Hi-Time. Pours hazy golden amber with a slight white head. Citrus aroma. Med minus body. Flavor is citrus (sort of cat pee mild) over some roast caramel. It’s the cat pee aspect that’s cool here. Finishes a little earthy, very citrus, and bitter!!! In an XPA way.

Jet black body with 95% opacity and a very nice light brown head, about a centimetre tall. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, vanilla, oak, tons of alcohol, milk and tons of sugars. Full-bodied; Strong assertive roasted malt flavours with anise and a lot of licorice notes tucked in with some lighter coffee flavours, a hint of super dark cacao and a fake sugar, aspartame-y type flavour. Aftertaste shows some odd sweetness with a kick of alcohol and anise and that bad fake sugar flavour. Overall, a decent Imperial Stout that was well intentioned, but just not executed properly - a bit too much anise and that fake sugar flavour that just persists. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from Super Jr. Market in San Diego, California on 06-May-2012 for US$5.99 sampled at home in Washington on 14-March-2013.

Bottle. Pours black with thick tan brown head. Nose and taste of roasted chocolate malt, toasted oats, vanilla, oak, bourbon barrel, fudge brownie and milk chocolate. Medium body. Finishes with a little bourbon kick. Body on the lighter side of medium for the ABV. As a consequence, the beer is a bit "hotter" than I’d like.
