Bottle @ Pinsky's, 11/18/15. Dark brown pour with a light brown head. Decent, drippy lacing. Sweet, heavy coffee aroma. Sugar and molasses come through. Definitely used a coffee I would have enjoyed in this one. Seems like a fairly bitter coffee, but the sweetness adds a nice balance. I'll have to try it. Overall, a nice coffee beer that leans toward the sweet side for the style. I enjoyed this quite a bit.

Draft at the source. From notes. A whole mess of citrus hops with just a hint of spicy rye.

Growler shared with Ann. Hazy orange-tan body. Rather sublime and enjoyable. Has some mellow malty tones like a biere de garde coupled with some peppery banana tinged yeast. Comes off like a grissette almost, very drinkable and refreshing. Very clean body for the style. Good.

Bottle. Pours reddish amber. White head. Nose/taste of citrus, caramel malt, boiled hop, resinous pine and earthy resin. Medium body.

Shaker filed to the broom, Cellar Door. Rather slight amber malt smell at first, cloudy brown body under a foamy Ale head. Taste did differentiate this one, as it turns out. There is the slightly roasty more of amber malt, then vanilla arrives in a separate mailing. Vanilla gives the impression that this beer has more alcohol than it lists. After half the glass, I do get the off - centered bitter aftertaste from vanilla. But then it’s settled by malt sweetness. The only red Ale you need for St. Patrick’s weekend.

Bottle. Pours dark brown tan head. Nose/taste of bourbon, roast chocolate, roast coffee, vanilla bean, molasses cookie and rum raisin cookie. Medium body.
