Tulip at the brewery - clear light amber - nose of spices, whiskey, caramelized sugar - flavors of rye whiskey up front, followed by toasted oak, caramelized sugars, candied oranges, Christmas cookies - finish is a bit boozy, and overall it's a bit sweet.

Tulip at the brewery - turbid orange - frothy lace - nose of rich, toasty malts, light citrus, mild brett funkiness, subtle wine barrel - flavor is similar - rich in maltiness while remaining dry and crisp - some citrus, herbs, light bitterness - mild finishing acidity - Brett is far in the background but adds and earthy complexity, and the bdg yeast used adds some dustiness - light oak - this is pretty dang nice.

Tulip at the brewery - turbid gold - nose of cab, white wine vinegar, mild acetic acid, melon, light muskiness - flavor has a definite acetic bite to it, which overpowers the other character a bit, making the finish a little too vinegary - some cab character, a little funkiness, grape skin - dry, tannic, acidic finish - a bit too sharp overall, but not unanjoyable.

Tulip at the brewery - turbid dark amber- nose of bourbon, toasted oak, cookie dough, oxidation, sherry, vanilla, cherries, treacle - low carbonation - very much in the British tradition - minimal hops, oxidation, sherry, plum - barrel adds some oaky depth and moderate bourbon - this is pretty darn good.

10 ounce at the brewery - damm, this is good - smooth, with prefectly-masked alcohol - the barrel adds subdued oak and bourbon depth - you literally cannot taste the alcohol at all - incredible smooth for the strength, with toasted coconut, vanilla, moderate bourbon - pretty exceptional, really.

10 ounce at the brewery - turbid gold pour - nose is heavy Chardonnay, moderate acetic acid, moderate funk, apple, melon - flavor is a bit heavy on the acetone up front, which makes the overall experience a little harsh - this is followed by Chardonnay, oak, tropical Brett - but that harsh acetone character never washes away, so this is pretty disappointing.

10 ounce at the brewery - soft, gentle, subtle for such a bit beer - has a moderate acidity complimented well by the notes from the wine barrel - moderate phenolic spiciness through the middle - funky, earthy Brett brux - finish is pepper, cobweb, white grape, melon rind - warming on the back end - quite good.

Tulip at the brewery - dark Amber pour - excellent caramelization of the malts here, creating a rich, flavorful brew with spices and chocolate, along with hazelnut - toasty finish tempers the sweetness, but still perhaps a bit too sweet overall - still, quite enjoyable.

10 ounce at Sloan's Lake Tap and Burger - clear light orange - really elegantly done, this - the malt profile manages to be rich, but also crisp, firm, and crackery - light notes of honey and flowers - lightly dusty yeast character, finishing grassy and herbal from the hops - super balanced and enjoyable.
